Peggy Haymes Counseling
my approach...

I believe that people who are able to make the decision to seek counseling have within themselves the resources for making positive change in their lives.

My role is to work with you as you discover, acknowledge and learn to use those resources.

About me
About me

A counselor, writer and minister, I bring to my work as a counselor creativity, compassion and a commitment to honoring the potential for healing and growth in each person.

Having earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling, I completed the Satir Family system yearlong training and an apprenticeship with the former staff of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. For over ten years I served on staff of Safe Harbors workshops for adult survivors of child abuse and currently staff Life, Loss and Healing grief workshops.

My work has been recognized for its "compassionate spirit, dedication to helping others and  commitment to the potential for healing and growth in each person." (2005 Richard Furman Award, Furman University)

My books include heart prayers 2 and Didn't See It Coming: How I faced bouncing off a Buick and other assorted stuff (both West Summit Publishing)
